MCP for AI assistants
LobbyVerse has a Model Context Protocol server, so AI assistants can look things up for you. Ask in plain words:
- “Find me a busy CS2 surf server near Berlin with a free slot.”
- “Which Warcraft 3 servers have players right now?”
- “Is this server’s player count real? 203.0.113.10:27015”
- “How are my favorite servers doing?”
The server is at:
https://api.lobbyverse.com/mcpIt speaks Streamable HTTP. Every tool only reads; nothing an assistant does can change your favorites, alerts or servers.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”The assistant signs in as you with OAuth: it opens LobbyVerse, you sign in and choose Allow. No key to paste. Your account needs a linked sign-in or a confirmed email, as for API keys.
-
Claude (claude.ai and the desktop app): Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the address and connect.
-
ChatGPT: Settings, then Apps & Connectors. With developer mode on, add a connector with the address.
-
Claude Code:
Terminal window claude mcp add --transport http lobbyverse https://api.lobbyverse.com/mcpThen run
/mcpand choose LobbyVerse to sign in. -
Cursor, VS Code and others: add an MCP server of type HTTP with the address. They open LobbyVerse to sign in.
You’ll find every assistant you connected on AI assistants in your account, with when it was last used, and can disconnect one there at any time.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”An assistant’s calls count like API requests: 60 a minute and 10,000 a day, for all the assistants you connected together (or on the key, if it uses one). Past that it gets a 429 with Retry-After.
For client developers
Section titled “For client developers”The server follows the MCP authorization spec:
- An unauthenticated call gets a
401whoseWWW-Authenticateheader names the protected resource metadata (RFC 9728). - That points to the authorization server at
https://lobbyverse.com, described at /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server (RFC 8414). - Clients register themselves at
/oauth/register(RFC 7591). Public clients usetoken_endpoint_auth_method: none. - The authorization code flow needs PKCE with
S256, from every client. The one scope isread. Sendresource=https://api.lobbyverse.com/mcp(RFC 8707). - Access tokens last an hour. Refresh tokens rotate: the old one stops working once the new access token is used.
- Redirect URIs must be
https,httptolocalhostor127.0.0.1on any port, or the app’s own scheme.
These come from the server itself, so they’re always the current set. Tools marked your account answer for the person who connected.
