Errors come as RFC 9457 problem details, Content-Type: application/problem+json:

detail is written for people and safe to show. parameter names the bad one, when there is one.

400	A parameter isn’t valid: an unknown game, mode or sort, a malformed near
401	No API key, or one that’s wrong or revoked (Authentication)
404	No such server, game, community or endpoint
429	Over a rate limit; wait Retry-After seconds
503	History or rankings are briefly unavailable; try again shortly
